RusselSmith welcomed two high-level delegations to its Omnifactory in Lagos on Friday, 27 March 2026, in a visit that underscored growing institutional interest in Nigeria’s emerging industrial additive manufacturing (AM) capabilities.

A senior delegation from the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), comprising directors, general managers, managers, and the Special Technical Assistant to the Executive Secretary, visited the facility and were received by RusselSmith’s Chief Executive Officer, Kayode Adeleke, alongside members of the company’s top management team. On the same day, RusselSmith also hosted a delegation from Providus Bank for a tour of the facility.

A Presentation on Nigeria’s AM Journey

Kayode Adeleke led both delegations through a detailed presentation covering RusselSmith’s journey in deploying industrial additive manufacturing in Nigeria, the milestones the company has achieved, and its vision for the future. The presentation highlighted concrete examples of the impact that RusselSmith’s AM capabilities have delivered across Nigeria’s industrial and energy sectors.

Mr. Adeleke expressed appreciation for the NCDMB’s pivotal role in promoting local content development and for the Board’s support to indigenous companies such as RusselSmith. He noted that the NCDMB has been instrumental in creating the enabling environment that allows Nigerian companies to invest in capability, take on complex work, and prove themselves on merit.

He also commended Providus Bank for its role as an enabler of enterprise and acknowledged the bank as a valued partner in RusselSmith’s growth journey.

Inside the Omnifactory

The RusselSmith team led both delegations on a tour of the Omnifactory, where visitors witnessed ongoing live production of both metallic and non-metallic parts. The active production environment provided a firsthand view of the scale, precision, and technical sophistication of RusselSmith’s AM operations, moving the conversation beyond concept and into demonstrable, operational reality.

The tours were followed by engaging conversations between the delegations and the RusselSmith team, covering the broader implications of industrial AM for Nigeria’s energy sector, local content strategy, and the potential for deeper collaboration.

Building the Case for Nigerian Industrial Capability

Visits of this nature reflect a growing recognition at institutional and financial levels that advanced manufacturing is no longer a distant ambition for Nigeria. RusselSmith’s Omnifactory continues to serve as a proof point for what is possible when indigenous enterprise, institutional support, and access to capital align.

RusselSmith remains committed to expanding its AM capabilities, deepening its partnerships, and contributing to the development of a resilient, globally competitive Nigerian industrial base.
